It’s Leigh-Anne Pinnock’s moment. Not only has the Little Mix alumni welcomed a gorgeous set of twins in the past year, but she’s also made her acting debut in the Christmas rom-com Boxing Day, and now, she’s signed a major solo deal with Warner Records UK.
On Wednesday 2 February, Warner Records UK confirmed the news, tweeting, “Delighted to welcome Leigh-Anne Pinnock to the Warner Records family!” which – quite understandably – sent fans into a frenzy.
The news was announced exactly two months after Little Mix announced their hiatus back in December 2021. And it’s pretty serious stuff, considering that Warner Records UK also represent Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa, Bruno Mars and Saweetie – to name a few.
A source told Simon Boyle at The Sun, “A number of labels were keen to bag Leigh-Anne but Warner seemed the best fit,” adding that, “She’s already been in the studio working on tracks for months.”
The source continued, “Leigh-Anne unequivocally loves Little Mix and always will, but the truth is she’s been ready to branch out on her own for some time.”
Leigh-Anne demonstrated her potential for going solo during her role as a global superstar in her film Boxing Day. During the movie, Leigh-Anne performed several tracks including a new solo song produced by hit producer MNEK.
The Sun’s source continued, “Little Mix have worked with MNEK for years and he’s helped craft some of their biggest tracks. But when it came to her solo career they wanted to do something special.
“They wrote ‘Woman’ together and it’s used in Boxing Day but they’ve not made a big song and dance about it. They also have other tracks that could be used for her solo career – Leigh-Anne is so talented and really wants to build on her time in Little Mix.”
Warner Records UK also shared the news to their Instagram, with Leigh-Anne sharing the post on her Instagram Story and writing, “So excited for what’s to come.”

Fans were quick to show their support for Leigh-Anne, with one tweeting, “Leigh has proved time and time again to have impeccable vision and taste. Im so I’m excited to see Warner provide A BUDGET, honey,” while another added, “YES LEIGH!! Absolutely can’t wait to see what she creates. Sign up?? Don’t mind if I do…”
There was also waves of excitement on Instagram, as fans voiced their appreciation for Leigh-Anne on Warner Records UK’s post, with one person commenting, “Waiting for your solo debut with deluxe songs from Boxing Day ????,” and another adding, “CONGRATS MY QUEEN????????????????”
Honestly? We’re so excited to see what comes next for Leigh-Anne. We’re expecting big things…
