Love is where you find it, particularly in Sunnyvale, where the city’s arts commission is sponsoring a scavenger hunt for candy hearts to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
Through Feb. 14, residents are invited to “Find Love in Sunnyvale” by photographing the 100 Valentine’s candy heart signs that have been placed throughout the city, then posting their photos on Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #LoveSunnyvale. For bonus points, the Sunnyvale Art Club has created heart paintings with said hashtag, photos of which count as five regular heart signs.
Everyone who posts will be entered into a drawing, with the winner chosen at random. The person who posts the most photos of these heart signs will receive a prize, as will the person who posts the most creative picture with a heart sign. The latter will be judged by the volunteers who delivered the heart signs throughout Sunnyvale.
Prizes are $50 gift cards to Pints of Joy, Dishdash or Leigh’s Favorite Books, all in Sunnyvale.
