As the two exchanged handshakes in the tunnel following Philly’s ugly 132-97 rout of the Raps, Drake, who took in the game with his son Adonis on his lap, smiled as he told Embiid, “Now y’all about to get swept!”

The Raptors were looking to become the fourth NBA team to force a Game 7 after trailing 3-0.
The Sixers will now advance to face former Raptor Kyle Lowry and his No. 1 seeded Heat in the second round.
After the game, Raps forward Pascal Siakam said he wasn’t bothered by Embiid’s trademark celebration.
“If that’s how he decides to celebrate, who am I to tell him not to? It is what it is. We lost. That’s it,” Siakam said of Embiid. “I don’t think it’s anything new. It’s what he does.”
Last week, the Philly centre taunted the Toronto rapper after he drained a buzz-beating bucket to give the Sixers a commanding three-game lead in the first round of the NBA Playoffs.
“That’s what you call a f—ing superstar,” Embiid yelled at the the club’s dejected global ambassador. “Get your ass out. I’m coming for that sweep, too.”

“Obviously, he’s always talking,” Embiid said after his exchange with Drake. “But of course, I had to let him know, you know, obviously we’re tryin’ to get Game 4 and go for the sweep.”
After the Raps went on to win Game 4 at home, the Hotline Bling hitmaker shared a pic of Raptors’ Scottie Barnes holding up his Rookie of the Year trophy with a Photoshopped baby’s body and Embiid’s head.
“What happened to that sweep, Jojo?” he chided. “See you when you get back.”

Toronto and the 76ers have a lengthy playoff history, last facing one another in the 2019 Eastern Conference semifinals, which the Raps won after Kawhi Leonard knocked down a dramatic buzzer-beater in the closing seconds of Game 7.
Drake and Embiid famously feuded throughout that series, with the Grammy winner at one point mocking the NBA All-Star’s airplane flying celebration from his courtside seats during Game 5.

But Drake, who Forbes estimated was worth $150 million in 2019, backing the Heat might end up dooming Miami. In year’s past, his endorsement of sports teams has been unscientifically proven to show that they are headed for failure.
In 2019, he showed up during Game 4 of the NHL playoffs between Toronto and the Boston Bruins in Maple Leafs gear and guess what? The Leafs lost 6-4.
The “Drake Curse” has also been blamed for losses suffered by the University of Alabama, Serena Williams, Conor McGregor and Paris Saint-Germain.
More recently, on Monday night, Drake bet on pal Kevin Durant’s Brooklyn Nets to beat the Boston Celtics (they were swept after losing 116–112 in Game 4).
Miami fans flooded social media begging the hip-hop star to stay away from South Beach, but Drake, who is friends with Steph Curry, has already set his sights on the next team he’s backing: the Golden State Warriors. He picked the Bay Area team to reach the NBA Finals, placing a massive $200,000 bet on the team.
