Arsenal could be set to bring three “world-class” players to the club this summer for a bargain fee of just £45million.

Mikel Arteta will continue his revolution at the Emirates following an incredibly busy summer transfer window last year. The Gunners brought in the likes of Ben White, Aaron Ramsdale, Takehiro Tomyasu, Albert Sambi Lokonga, Martin Odegaard and Nuno Tavares for around £150m and could now that up with even more signings.

It comes as Paulo Dybala has already revealed his dream summer move ahead of his Juventus contract expiring at the end of the season. And the Gunners’ Champions League hopes have been left hanging by a thread following their 2-0 loss to Newcastle United.

Here are Mirror Football’s latest Arsenal headlines.

Three players could arrive

Arsenal could bring in Manchester City’s Gabriel Jesus, Juventus’ Paulo Dybala and Brazilian youngster Marquinhos for an outlay of just £45m this summer.

The Gunners are set for another busy summer in the transfer market and have already got to work on sounding out players they are interested in. A move for Manchester City forward Jesus has already been widely reported on with Mikel Arteta hoping to build his forward line around the Brazilian.

He could be joined by his compatriot Marquinhos, a 19-year-old winger currently playing for Sao Paulo who could be available for just £2.5m. And the club could also swoop for Paulo Dybala, who is set to be available on a free when his Juventus contract expires.

Dybala’s dream move

Arsenal target Paulo Dybala has hinted the Gunners may not be his dream destination ahead of a summer move.

The Juventus ace bid an emotional farewell to Juventus fans at the weekend with his contract in Turin set to expire at the end of the season and the player having announced his intention to leave. The Gunners face stiff competition for his signature, though, with reports suggesting his agent has held talks with multiple Premier League clubs.

But Dybala himself has hinted he would ideally like to be signing for Barcelona or Manchester City.

Newcastle talking points

Bruno Guimaraes dealt Arsenal’s Champions League hopes a major blow as Newcastle United powered their way to a 2-0 win at a raucous St James’ Park.

The Brazilian condemned the Gunners to a costly defeat with an 85th-minute strike after Ben White’s own goal had put the Magpies ahead. It means Arsenal will go into Sunday’s final round of fixtures two points behind fourth-placed Tottenham and with their fate out of their own hands.

It was a game full of talking points, including Arsenal’s top four prospects, players not handling the pressure and the Gunners’ midfield nightmare.
