Everyone has that handful of celebrities whose Instagram accounts they constantly search (like, on a daily basis) for new posts, right? For me, it’s Kim Kardashian and Britney Spears — and I’m sure I’m not alone on this. Spears is always giving fans something, well, random and unexpected, which makes my day every time. Especially now that she is free from her conservatorship, I grin from ear to ear at every freestyle dance and downward-angled selfie.
On Thursday, May 19, Spears posted to her Instagram something we rarely see, and that is a close-up photo of her most recent manicure. Glistening rhinestone-encrusted gems in the shape of bows, hearts, and ovals, sit atop an off-white base that I would have to guess is made from acrylic because the nails are quite thick but short and square. The singer captioned the post, “My nail girl @ashes.nails is unbelievable… she brought all these diamond charms to play with!!!”

Of course, as I’m sure we all did, I immediately clicked on her nail artist’s Instagram handle to view their page. Because we’re all thinking it: How’d they get that gig? We may never know, but shoutout to Spears for crediting her local nail artist, who I’m sure is booking appointments left and right after someone of Spears’s legend status shouts her out to a whopping 41 million Instagram followers. Respect.
