Kate McKinnon, Aidy Bryant, and Kyle Mooney will join fellow cast member Pete Davidson in exiting Saturday Night Live after this weekend’s Season 47 finale, Rolling Stone has learned.

Representatives for SNL did not respond to Rolling Stone’s request for comment.

McKinnon joined the cast in 2012 and became a repertory player the next year. Although the breakout star’s departure from SNL was the subject of rumors recent years, she remained a part of the cast. However, she appeared on the show less frequently and took a hiatus to star in Joe vs. Carole, Peacock’s scripted show based on Netflix’s pandemic smash, Tiger King.

Bryant also joined SNL in 2012, garnering attention for her impressions of Senator Ted Cruz and Sarah Huckabee Sanders. She, too, took time away from the show to star in the Lorne Michaels-produced Hulu comedy series Shrill, which ran for three seasons.

Mooney joined the cast 2013, becoming a repertory player at the beginning of the 41st season. As previously reported, Davidson has been a cast member since 2014.

While the exact reasons for the cast members’ departures aren’t known, three of the four comedians are attached to new projects executive produced by Lorne Michaels — Davidson’s new Peacock series, Bupkis; Bryant’s upcoming animated series Cheeky, also in development at Peacock; and Mooney’s Saturday Morning All Star Hits!, which debuted on Netflix last November — suggesting Michaels’ plans for his SNL stars may extend beyond their time on the show.

In addition to what may include public goodbyes from the departing castmates, the finale will feature Russian Doll star Natasha Lyonne as host and musical guest Japanese Breakfast.
