A video posted on Reddit’s “I Am a Total Piece of S***” subreddit has been “upvoted” or liked more than 95,000 times.
The caption of the video reads: “POS destroyed my best friend’s moment. He asked for permission beforehand.”
In the 21-second video, a man and woman are seen on a stage with the Sleeping Beauty Castle in the background.
The man drops to one knee while holding the ring and he about to propose when a male employee rushes to the couple, snatches the ring box from the man’s hands, and cuts in between them as he directs the two down the steps.
The uninterrupted moment caused confusion, with some onlookers booing the employee.
The man proposing could be heard saying something like, “She said yes,” but the proposal gate-crasher responded, “Yes, that’s great but over here will be even better,” as he continues to wave the couple off the restricted platform.

The Redditor, u/wasgehtlan, commented that his friend “actually asked a female co-worker” if proposing on the stage was allowed and confirmed he got permission.
However, a relative of the employee told French tabloid Le Parisien that the platform is off-limits because it is used for fireworks displays, adding that the worker warned the couple prior to the question-popping.
Nevertheless, Disney issued a statement, telling Newsweek, “We regret how this was handled. We have apologized to the couple involved and offered to make it right.”

But that didn’t stop commenters who were relentless about how the moment will forever be tainted.
“He actually snatched the ring out of the dude’s hands,” wrote one person. “Wtaf, use your words, don’t assault a guest.”
A second person commented: “He sure looked really happy to have the chance to officially destroy a super memorable romantic moment. Real lawful-evil guy right there.”
One person joked: “Their admission pass didn’t include the $149 optional ‘Proposal Photograph’ fee.”
