Nikamma Box Office Collection Day 2: Shilpa Shetty’s superpowers aren’t enough to Garner Large Audiences – See Latest

Nikamma, Shilpa Shetty’s long-awaited return to the silver screen, failed to entice her admirers back to the theatres. The film, which stars Abhimanyu Dassani and Shirley Setia, debuted on a budget of just ₹51 lakhs. The critics have also expressed their frustration with the film. Film’s low opening numbers can be attributed to the bad word-of-mouth & lack of a popular star cast. 

According to a leading daily, “Sabbir Khan’s film is hard to watch since it gets practically nothing right, including the chemistry between main actors Abhimanyu Dassani and Shirley Setia. Shilpa Shetty is the only bright spot in this film.”

Shilpa, who most recently appeared in Priyadarshan’s digital movie Hungama 2, admitted that she was apprehensive about taking on Nikamma because the actors she was supposed to work with were considerably younger.
