In a horrific incident from Madhya Pradesh, an 11-year-old girl was raped by her 17-year-old cousin in a secluded mango orchard in Rewa on Sunday.
The accused took advantage of the deserted orchard and raped his minor cousin. The girl narrated the incident to her family after which a case was filed.
A woman officer recorded the statement of the girl. She was then taken to the hospital for medical examination.
A case has been registered under sections of rape and the POCSO Act and the accused has been detained. Further investigation is underway.
