There is plenty of Premier League interest in Arnaut Danjuma, but the winger is more than happy to stay at Villarreal this summer, looking for stability ahead of the World Cup.

The Netherlands international has led a unique path so far, underwhelming in the Premier League with Bournemouth, but an impressive campaign in the Championship saw him earn a move to Villarreal last year.

The 25-year-old had an excellent campaign with the Yellow Submarine, scoring 10 La Liga goals and six in the Champions League as they made a surprise run to the semi-finals.

His performances have attracted plenty of suitors looking to bring him back to England, with the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United, Newcastle and West Ham all credited with an interest in his signature.

The Hammers appeared to be most keen on the winger, with a big offer expected, but GOAL report that their interest will not result in anything as Danjuma has opted to remain at Villarreal, at least for one more season.

The Nigerian-born star suffered an injury in April which ended his season early, so is reportedly focussed on returning to full fitness and continuing to shine for Villarreal ahead of the World Cup this winter.

He has six caps for Netherlands and hopes to be part of the squad heading to Qatar, but is in no rush to risk the stability he has in Spain. Danjuma is under contract at Villarreal until 2026, so the club are under no pressure at all to sell.

The former Bournemouth man has been open that he would be interested in a move to a bigger club in the past, telling Ziggo Sport: ‘If a club came along that offered me a higher platform to play on sport-wise, I would always have to consider it.’

However, he now seems content to stay where he is, likely hoping that a strong World Cup showing would result in even more interest next summer.
