Lily James Is Unrecognizable With Bleached Brows and Blunt Black Bangs

Spooky season comes earlier every year. Though it’s only mid-July, Lily James has gone full witch mode, and the transformation is stunning.

James, who normally rocks dirty-blonde hair to complement her classic features, recently transformed into a blonde bombshell to play Pamela Anderson in Hulu’s Pam & Tommy, for which she was just nominated for her first Emmy. But she’s saying goodbye to Baywatch and hello to Morticia Addams in a new campaign for Versace. Rocking dark lips and long jet-black hair, James looks quite simply spell-cast.

Clearly, the actor and the brand vibe. James also wore Versace to the 2022 Met Gala, a sheer beaded gown that reminded us of a mermaid caught in a net… in a good way.

The hair is, as you may have guessed, a wig, styled by Karim Belghiran, according to PopSugar. The outlet also notes a similar style worn by the Hadid sisters in the fashion house’s recent runway shows, but come to think of it, Bella Hadid also wore bleached brows and blunt black bangs (say that 10 times fast) for the Marc Jacobs show last month. Seems the brands who are not embracing Barbiecore have chosen this as their alternative look du jour. A classic Gwyneth-Winona split, if you will.
