Joe Rogan may have “zero understanding” about Canadian politics, but he knows one thing: he doesn’t like Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Echoing sentiments he has made previously, the controversial UFC commentator and podcaster lashed out at Trudeau this week during a segment with a comedian Tom Segura that has gone viral on social media.

Rogan admitted he was once a fan of the 50-year-old Liberal Leader, saying that he was a “handsome guy” and “seems sweet.”

“He was a good looking guy, confident, good talker,” Rogan observed.

But is opinion shifted as he watched Trudeau’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic and his response to the trucker protest in the nation’s capital earlier this year.

“Then during the pandemic, I’m like, ‘Oh, you’re a f—ing dictator,’” Rogan shared. “You don’t like criticism. You’re trying to shut down criticism by saying that all your critics are misogynists and racists. He said that about the truckers. He called them all misogynists and racists.”

Looking at his neighbours to the North, Rogan now thinks “Canada’s communist” and the country is “f—ed.”

“They gotta get rid of that guy,” Rogan said. “He’s gross. He’s a sketchy guy. He’s got some f—ing shaky deals. I would like to see where the money is coming from. Why do you want everyone to get injected every four months? We don’t need that anymore.”

Rogan then lamented the fact that Americans still can’t enter Canada without proof of vaccination.

“It’s a little old. It’s 2022, not 2019,” Rogan said.

A recent poll found that many Canadians agree with Rogan, with findings showing that the majority of the country is increasingly unhappy with the direction the country is headed in.

An Angus Reid Institute poll released in June found 52% of Canadians are pessimistic about the future of the country.

“In addition to pessimism about the country comes an increase in criticism of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Three-in-five (59%) disapprove of his performance, the highest marks since before the pandemic in 2019 when he and the government were beset with allegations of corruption related to SNC-Lavalin,” the pollster said in a statement.

During a segment of his podcast in May, Rogan lashed out at Trudeau over his handling of the Freedom Convoy that was protesting coronavirus restrictions in Ottawa last January and February.

“Before he really leaned into the woke stuff, I thought he was a kind, sensitive guy, and I thought that’s probably a good disposition to be a leader.

“But just the way he labelled those truckers as racist for no reason, the people that were protesting against mandates, he decided that they were misogynists and racists,” he continued.

Before police forcibly removed protesters in late February, Trudeau labelled the Freedom Convoy a “small fringe” group with “unacceptable views” and blasted some of the protesters for using Nazi symbolism, racist imagery, and desecrating war memorials.

But Rogan hit out at Trudeau, who he previously defended following his brownface controversy in 2019, saying he attacked the protesters to further his own agenda.

“The way he did it. He just cast a pejorative label on them with no evidence, with no provocation, it was just like, ‘I’m going to label them this so that I can impose laws to stop them from doing what is essentially a peaceful protest,’” Rogan said.

The protest ended on Feb. 20 with 191 people being arrested and 76 vehicles towed.

On Twitter, Rogan’s recent comments received mixed reaction. Some called his assessment “glorious,” while others pointed out Trudeau is the leader of a political party that “can throw him out at any time.”

“By ‘f—ed,’ @joerogan means ‘free,’ ‘safe,’ ‘educated,’ ‘prosperous’ and ‘admired around the world,’” one detractor fired back.
