This influencer is showing off her body in an empowering Instagram movement ‘because the more types of bodies we see, the better we feel about our own’

One such body-positive movement gaining momentum – and serious praise – on Instagram comes courtesy of digital creator and author, Natalie Alexis Lee, aka Style Me Sunday.

Natalie, who says she is ‘on a liberating journey to challenge societal norms with honesty and disruption’, often uses the hashtag ‘#ShedYourShame’ to encourage her followers to ignore societal pressures and embrace their bodies in all their natural glory.

The influencer’s latest viral post shows her lovingly rubbing her bare body with the caption: “I’ll do it so you don’t have to! ✋????

“Showing your body on social media ain’t for everyone. But I like to do it because research shows the more different types of bodies we see, the better we feel about our own.” 

Natalie’s post quickly went viral across social media, with people calling on others to post their own versions. 

“Thank you for doing this,” wrote one follower. “It’s helped me no end seeing all kinds of bodies ….. just helps me feel more confident that we are all different , unique , bad ass and hot as hell!”, whilst another added: “Yes Queen! Thank you from me and all the other women that need to see the beauty x”.

One follower added: “I agree with this all so much. Not long ago I saw another account where the lady had the same bum as me! That small amount of representation actually made me feel so much better about myself. So thank you to you and all the others who share the way they feel comfortable so we can all start seeing ourselves in the beautiful images that are out there!”.
