To support the ongoing relief needs of the Ukrainian people, the San Jose culinary venture ChefCentury will prepare a second round of fundraising Ukrainian feasts on Wednesday, Sept. 14, and Friday, Sept. 16.
The four-course hot meal will include Chicken Schnitzel with paprika sour cream sauce and noodles, Cabbage Roll Casserole, Ukrainian Vegetable Salad and for dessert, Cheese Mlyntsi, or blintzes. Leading the kitchen effort will be chef Brad Kunkel, whose family has Ukrainian roots.
ChefCentury’s first Ukrainian meal fundraiser was held on July 22. This time, meal preparation and delivery have been scheduled over two days for ease of production and delivery.
The meals cost $30 for one, $50 for two. Ten percent of proceeds will go to the United Nations’ World Food Program to assist refugees. Sept. 14 orders must be received by this Sunday, and Sept. 16 orders must be received by Tuesday.
Home delivery is available to most parts of Santa Clara County. Or, if customers prefer, they may pick up their meals at the ChefCentury commissary kitchen, 1505 S. Winchester Blvd., San Jose. Pickup or delievery time slots are available from 1 to 3 p.m. and 3 to 5 p.m. both days.
To order, go to www.chefcentury.com or phone 408-709-5877.
