XTURISMO Hoverbike Flying Bike: Moving a step closer to the future of transportation, the world’s first flying bike has been introduced by a Japanese startup company AERWINS Technology. The company named the hoverbike as XTURISMO. This flying vehicle had made its debut during the auto show in Detroit, US on Thursday, September 15.

The XTURISMO hoverbike is capable of flying for 40 minutes at a time and can reach speeds of up to 62 mph. According to Reuters, the company is planning to launch the flying bike in the United States of America next year.

“This is the world’s first flying bike. The XTURISMO hoverbike is capable of flying for 40 minutes and can reach speeds of up to 62 mph,” the news agency Reuters tweeted.

The weight of this bike is around 300 kg and it can carry a weight of around 100 kg while flying. It is currently available in Red, Blue and Black.

“I feel like I’m literally 15 years old and I just got out of ‘Star Wars’ and jumped on their bike,” said Thad Szott, co-chair of the auto show after taking a test drive – or, perhaps, a test hover.

“I mean, it’s awesome! Of course, you have a little apprehension, but I was just so amped. I literally had goosebumps and feel like a little kid,” he added.

According to the news agency Reuters, the hoverbike is already on sale in Japan, and Shuhei Komatsu, founder and CEO of AERWINS, said plans were underway to sell a smaller version in the United States in 2023.
