Logitech G Cloud Gaming Handheld To Launch In October For US$349.99

The Logitech G Cloud Gaming Handheld showed up online late last month courtesy of serial leakster Evan Blass. The company has since officially unveiled the device, revealing more details about the device itself. And as the name suggests, cloud gaming really is the focus of the device, even if it can run Android titles natively.

Starting of with the display, we’re looking at a 7-inch Full HD IPS touchscreen with a 60Hz refresh rate. We’ve gone over the buttons before, and nothing has changed on that front. For its processor, it is sporting a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G chipset, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage space, with a microSD card slot. It also has a 6000mAh battery, which the company claims can give it over 12 hours of use time. It also weighs 463g, which sits in between the Nintendo Switch (322g) and the Steam Deck (669g).

Connectivity options for the Logitech G Cloud Gaming Handheld is limited to WiFi and Bluetooth 5.1. Though that may affect its appeal as a cloud gaming device unless you’re always using your phone as a mobile Hotspot, which doesn’t bode well for its battery life. Beyond that, it will come pre-installed with Xbox Cloud Gaming, Nvidia GeForce Now and Steam Link.

According to The Verge, the Logitech G Cloud Gaming Handheld will also come with two different launchers. One is the game launcher for when that is its main use purpose. It also has a more generic Android tablet launcher mode when you just want to do non-gaming activities.

The Logitech G Cloud Gaming Handheld will be available on 17 October for a price of US$349.99 (~RM1599). No word on local pricing and availability details just yet though. It’s also not listed on Logitech’s local website, which casts doubt on if the company even intends to bring it over to our shores to begin with.
