Get ready to feel the hard-rock sting of the Scorpions.

The iconic German act, which got its start way back in 1965, is ready to greet Bay Area fans once more when it brings its Rock Believer World Tour to Oakland Arena on Oct. 18.

Showtime is 7 p.m. and tickets start at $39, ticketmaster.com.

The band, which completed a Las Vegas concert earlier this year, is supporting the new album “Rock Believer” on this tour.

“After the amazing start we’ve had with our residency in Las Vegas, it‘s about time to come back for a real tour to rock the U.S. like a hurricane again,” vocalist Klaus Meine commented in a news release.

“Rock Believer,” the band’s 19th studio outing to date, was released in February and was a top 10 hit in a number of European countries. It was a different story in the U.S., where it only managed to climb as high as No. 59 on the Billboard 200.
