ALL-INCLUSIVE holidays are predicted to become the main holiday trend for families in 20223 as parents look for ways to save money during the cost of living crisis.

According to easyJet, the number of people choosing to pay for everything up front is surging, as financial uncertainty continues to grow.

On top of flights and accommodation, costs can really rack up on holiday, with food, excursions and entertainment for kids all still to be paid for.

However, all-inclusive stays allow people to know exactly what they’re spending on their trip before they’ve even packed their bags.

Garry Wilson, chief executive of easyJet holidays told The Times that the appeal of the holidays lies in not having to pay extra if you don’t want to.

He said: “The kids want to go to the waterpark, that’s €50. The kids want to go for pasta, that’s €50. The kids want ice-cream, that’s €50.

“They can get all of that in these all-inclusive hotels and that’s the price locked in.”

If you’re looking for ways to keep hold of your foreign holiday next summer, while making some savings, it’s worth looking at a break in Turkey because of the performance of the pound against the Turkish lira.

Five years ago, £1 would fetch 4.54 Turkish lira, but now, Brits can expect to get 21.5 Turkish lira for £1 making Turkey a whopping 375 per cent cheaper to visit compared to 2017.

Mr Wilson added: “There are really good prices [in Turkey]. So you’ll pay the same amount for a five-star hotel as you would for a three-star property in the Balearics.”

While British currency is making holidays in Turkey cheaper, the same can’t be said for other hotspots.

A new study by travel money specialist FairFX found that the likes of Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Cuba, Jamaica and Mexico are all much more expensive to visit now than they used to be.

Anyone heading to Turkey will have to pay attention to strict new passport rules.

Extreme weather has also hit the country already this month.
