Helly Hansen and its heritage-focused line, HH-118389225, have unveiled the Fall/Winter 2022 collection. Titled 222, the new line continues to take inspiration from the label’s vast history of creating professional and performance-driven gear, with key silhouettes reprising alongside new multi-functional pieces.
Building on the blueprints of its inaugural 212 winter collection, this season sees the label focus once again on modularity while introducing 3-layer shell technology, ultrasonic taped seams, reinforced webbing load eyelets and the brand’s modular, interchangeable ARC Storm Hood, which docks with multiple key styles.
Other standout items include the brand’s classic reversible puffer jackets, arriving in both a “Utility Green” and “Core Black” option, as well as the ARC reversible vest, which further drives the brand’s attention for layering and acts as the prefect under-layer to Helly Hansen’s shell programme. The new ARC 3L Shell Pant brings a wider snowboard inspired cargo silhouette to the line-up, with its adjustable ankle fastening and waterproof HELLYTECH® fabrication rounding out the design.
“When it comes to winter, people have preconceived ideas of what they imagine the coldest places in the world to look like,” explains artistic director Graeme Gaughan. “But deserts such as the Atacama in Chile can have below zero temperatures without snow. With the campaign, we wanted to subvert the perceptions of cold weather environments and juxtapose that with the 222 collection. By highlighting these natural inspirations and abstract geographical textures, we really allow the collection’s tones to come to the fore.”
The Helly Hansen HH-118389225-222 collection will be available in limited numbers from November 2022 at selected top-tier stockists globally.
