Oops! Woman PLOUGHS car through store window

An elderly woman was lucky to escape injury after accidentally ploughing through a shop window in Edgewater.

The incident happened about 1.25pm on Sunday at a carpark on Joondalup Drive.

It is understood the 70-year-old driver accidentally hit the accelerator pedal instead of reverse and drove straight through the front window of a Freedom store.

Photos of the aftermath show her white Toyota sedan a couple of meters inside the store.

Shattered glass, candles and fake flowers were scattered around the car.

The woman was not injured, we hope she found what she came for.
