KD’s recruiting pitch must’ve worked.
On Wednesday, former MVP and two-time WNBA champ Breanna Stewart announced that she’s decided to take her talents to the New York Liberty.
Taking to social media, the Seattle Storm star posted a picture of the Empire State Building alongside a TikTok of her wearing a jersey which read: “I want to do my best to make this world a better place” before tearing it off to reveal a Liberty shooting shirt.
Stewart’s move is without a doubt one of the biggest in the league’s history and she’s been very open about chartered flights playing a big role in her decision; so her signing should not only change the landscape of The W on the court, but off of it too.
The four-time All-Star joins a New York team that’s now stacked with talent, which they’ll need if they plan to knock off the star-studded Las Vegas Aces in the Finals this year.
