The conservative talk show host lashed out at the couple, who were ousted by ABC last week after it was revealed the on-air hosts were having an affair while married. But she acknowledged that there was still a way Robach and Holmes could have kept their jobs.

“Those two could have come out,” Kelly said on a recent episode of her The Megyn Kelly Show on Sirius XM.
But instead the couple continued down a path that saw them appearing in “orchestrated” photos where they were seen “kissing and fondling while their spouses, who they cheated on, are posting sad-faced pictures with their kids, who look incredibly forlorn.”
In a conversation with attorneys Arthur Aidala and Mark Eiglarsh, Kelly called the PDA photos a “massive PR error.”
“They don’t understand. No one looks at this and says, ‘True love,’” Kelly continued.

“They cheated on their spouses. They cheated on their children. Yes, it happens. It’s sad. Act like it’s sad. Stop projecting ‘I don’t give a s— about anybody who I hurt,’” Kelly added. “There are hurt people … This looks like, ‘I don’t give a s— who I hurt. Look at me, I’m in Miami and I’m having a great time.’”
Nearly two months after the Daily Mail published photos of Robach and Holmes cozying up with one another in New York City, ABC News President Kim Godwin announced their departure on Friday evening.
“I know that this has been a distraction for so many of us, but let’s not forget all the great work that continues to make ABC News the #1 news network in America, and that’s because of you,” Godwin wrote in the memo obtained by CNN. “I want to thank you again for your patience and professionalism during this time.”

According to TMZ, Holmes and Robach, who reportedly embarked on an extramarital affair last March after their marriages fell apart, were initially “confused and frustrated why the ABC News brass at first told people internally there would be no disciplinary action, and then the company did an about-face.”
In taking them off the air in December, Godwin told staffers their relationship had become an “internal and external distraction.”
But as the broadcaster began its review of the duo’s behaviour, damning reports surfaced alleging that Holmes had engaged in several workplace romances while he was married.

Meanwhile, Robach was accused of keeping liquor in her dressing room. But one source called that claim “ridiculous” saying many of the bottles came from high-ranking ABC execs.
Elsewhere, it was alleged that Robach showed up to work drunk last year after attending a College Football National Championship game. But a source told TMZ that claim was “insane,” saying she simply had a late night.
But TMZ sources said ABC execs felt the couple waited too long to declare their romance and their behaviour on set made some of their colleagues “uncomfortable.”
Kelly said the two probably could have kept their job if they had just stepped away instead of fuelling the media circus around their new relationship.
“They could have said, on the show, the next day after the scandal had broken, ‘We are very embarrassed. It’s true. This is a private matter that we wanted to resolve privately given the fact that we have kids and spouses. But we couldn’t given the Daily Mail report. We are going to take a leave of absence to deal with this and we hope we can earn your forgiveness and trust when we come back.”
