The No. 9 UCLA Bruins were in a great spot in the Pac 12, but their hold on the conference is loosening after two straight losses.

They were off last weekend, but on Thursday, they lost to USC, 77-64, prior to that on Jan. 21, they lost to No. 5 Arizona, 58-52. UCLA is 17-4 (8-2) and in desperate need of a bounce back at Pauley Pavilion against the 13-10 (5-7) Washington Huskies.

Washington got absolutely pounded by Arizona, 95-72 on Saturday. The Huskies did get a big day from Keion Brooks Jr. with 25 points, but there weren’t many other positives to take from their most recent outing.

They were beaten on the glass in that one, 39-28 and that’s been a theme all year. The Huskies are 325th in defensive rebounding percentage, 68.9%. That’s not a good recipe against the Bruins who are the best offensive rebounding team in the Pac 12.

UCLA, with Jaime Jaquez Jr. Jaylen Clark, and Adem Bona, average 12.0 offensive rebounds a game.

The Bruins grab 32.6% of the rebounds on the offensive end, which is 30th best in the nation, and over their past three games that number is up at 37%.

They are better than Washington in nearly every way, but the big difference will be on the glass today. Give me the Bruins even as a huge home favorite.
