The stabbing happened at Harding High School, the St. Paul Police Department said on Twitter.
The school went into lockdown at around 11:45 a.m. local time and the school started dismissing students at 1:20 p.m. after officers cleared the building, police said in a statement. Earlier, several parents were outside the school with some able to call their children inside, CBS Minnesota reports.
Evening activities and weekend events at the school have been canceled, police said, and both boys are students at the school.
