Drake Shares Hilarious Clip of Himself Rooting for Eagles After Placing Bet on Chiefs

Drake’s bet on the Kansas City Chiefs to defeat the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII this past Sunday turned out to be a success, and now we know why. He utilized the power of the “reverse curse.”

The Toronto native shared his Super Bowl picks last week, revealing he was betting on the Chiefs, even though the Eagles were 1.5-point favorites at the time. A few years back, there was considerable discussion about the authenticity of what became referred to as the “Drake curse,” where the artist would publicly put his support behind a team only for them to lose. 

While the conversation has cooled off quite a bit recently, Drake still pulled out all the stops to ensure a victory for the Chiefs, especially with hundreds of thousands of dollars on the line. He wore an Eagles jersey, made his phone’s lock screen a photo of quarterback Jalen Hurts, and repeatedly wrote “Fly Eagles Fly,” the title of their fight song, on a notepad.

It all worked out because Drake made $512,000 in bitcoin winnings as a result of the Chiefs winning their third Super Bowl title in franchise history, as reported by Markets Insider.
