The selection of Castile and Leon absoluta participates this weekend, March 25 and 26, in the Spanish Adapted Athletics Championship for Autonomous Teams in Madrid.

The team of the Federation of Adapted Sports of Castilla y León (Fedeacyl) travels to the Aluche Municipal Sports Center with seven athletes, including international jumper Dani Pérez and Paralympian Lía Beel.

The athlete from the CD Sprint de León will be one of the numbers to take into account, since he has more than twenty medals in national events in the tartan, and he will once again try to become champion of Spain, both in the high jump tests Like a triple jump.

The athlete from León starts preparing for the World Cup in Paris, one of the tests that will allow us to see the level of the jumper himself and his rivals at the international level for the Parisian Games, which will be held in 2024.

For her part, Lía Beel will participate in the speed tests with medal options in both the 100 and 200.

The Fedeacyl team is completed by Víctor Toro from Salamanca; and Ana Begoña Garrido, Roberto Aguado, Francisco Javier Casante and Aissa Ben Taleb from Valladolid.

The Madrid Championship is organized by the Spanish Federation of Sports for People with Physical Disabilities (FEDDF), the Spanish Federation of Sports for People with Cerebral Palsy and Acquired Brain Injury (FEDPC), with the collaboration of the Spanish Federation of Sports for the Blind ( FEDC), the Madrid Sports Federation for People with Cerebral Palsy and the Madrid City Council.

A total of 127 athletes with Physical Disability, Visual Disability, Cerebral Palsy and Acquired Brain Injury belonging to all the autonomous communities will participate in the competition.

The competition will take place during the day on Saturday (morning and afternoon) and on Sunday (morning). On this last day of Sunday, the awards and medals ceremony will take place, around 12:30 p.m.
