Gabriel Jesus has been an immense signing for Arsenal this season. He joined them from Man City in the summer and has played a pivotal part so far, despite missing around four months with injury. The player injured his knee while on World Cup duty with Brazil, and has missed plenty of action post World Cup.
But with his two goals against Leeds, the striker feels he has got back his rhythm and is raring to go for the remainder of the season.
“It was so good playing again, starting again and feeling the atmosphere of the crowd. The supporters come all together, and the way they support me is massive,” Jesus said after the win over Leeds.
The Brazil international has scored 7 goals so far for the North London club and converted a penalty as well for them in the win over Leeds. Generally Bukayo Saka takes the penalty kicks for Arsenal, but Jesus reveals he was confident to take the spot kick as he was practising it beforehand.

“I want to score and I practise (penalties). Yesterday I was practising with the guys, so I was confident, I wanted to take it. That’s the best way to take penalties,” Jesus added.
Arsenal are sitting 8 points clear of second-placed Manchester City. With 9 games to go this season, Mikel Arteta’s men will be dreaming to win the title after a gap of 19 years. Although it will be a huge challenger given their tough assignments hereon, Jesus feels confident of prevailing.
“I want to score, I want to help the team with the goals. I missed a big part of the season and now I just want to play and help the team,” he further said.
The Gunners will be up against Liverpool at Anfield in their next league match. They are already out of other competitions this season.
