After Sunday’s events, its possible the Minnesota Timberwolves could be without star center Rudy Gobert for the team’s play-in game.

During this afternoon’s game against the Pelicans, the three-time Defensive Player of the Year was spotted getting into a heated argument with teammate Kyle Anderson and even threw a punch.

NBA Twitter was all over this one.

“Rudy Gobert getting himself suspended so he can’t get played off the court in another postseason,” a user replied.

“Funniest outcome would be Gobert getting suspended from the play in game lmaoo,” a fan laughed.

“The most Wolves-y way for the season to end would be losing this game and having Rudy Gobert suspended for the play-in game by the team for fighting with SloMo,” another tweeted.

“No way dude. Unacceptable by Rudy Gobert. Striking a teammate on the bench. Wouldn’t be surprised if they suspended him for the play-in game. It’s the last game of the season like c’mon.”

Not great.
