A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie has delivered his fourth studio album Me vs. Myself.
The Highbridge rapper has been teasing the effort since early 2020, shortly after the release of his Artist 2.0 project. Back in September, A Boogie told fans the album would arrive on Nov. 4. He decided to scrap those plans weeks later, as he didn’t want Me vs. Myself to compete with Drake and 21 Savage’s joint album Her Loss.
“Sorry but album dropping in December now, Drake was dropping same day and I’m not with that,” A Boogie wrote on his Instagram Stories.
Me vs. Myself spans 22 tracks, including previously released cuts like “Ballin,” the Tory Lanez-assisted “Take Shots,” “B.R.O. (Better Ride Out)” featuring Roddy Ricch, and, most recently, “Water (Drowning Pt. 2)” with Kodak Black. Other guest artists include H.E.R., Lil Durk, G Herbo, and Don Q.
A Boogie reflected on Me vs. Myself during an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, explaining why he believes it’s his “best project” yet.
“It was a lot of negative things going on at the time I was making the album. I appreciate everything that literally happens in my life towards bringing it out to the music anyway,” he said. “This feels like my best project in that way where I can really listen to something in the car, something in the crib at the same time I was going out, still hearing it in the club. This is my favorite vibe right now.”
You can stream A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie’s Me vs. Myself now on all major platforms.
A Boogie will support the album with a 2023 world tour. The trek will begin Feb. 7 in Denver, followed by stops in Houston, Atlanta, Chicago, Manchester, and London. Check out the tour schedule below.
