Catbird Music Festival will take place at Bethel Woods in August 2023
A lot has changed since 1969, but Bethel Woods, in Bethel, New York, is still standing as a cultural center and nonprofit. The notable site of the original 1969 Woodstock Music & Art Fair, the Catskills attraction has served as a beloved music venue and event center for decades. And now, the summer destination just announced that they’ll be hosting a brand new two-day festival, Catbird Music Festival come August 19 2023.
Catbird Music Festival promises “a gathering of the most exciting and enticing musical acts around” though the lineup has yet to be announced. Americana and folk indie music performers, plus indie acts and emerging artists will perform on the historic festival field for the first time in decades. “Good vibrations, live music, and memorable moments,” are all promised in the teaser video announcing the event.

Unlike the OG Woodstock, however, the event won’t be free, and tickets will be required for entry. One-day passes start at $140, with premium packages offering exclusive viewing spaces, VIP lounges, priority entry and more.
And to keep up with contemporary festivals of the 21st Century, Catbird Music Festival will also double down as a food and beer festival too. Local eats, cocktails and craft beer are promised, including vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and non-alcoholic options.
Ala Woodstock, guests are invited to camp overnight at Catbird, whether it’s next to your car or in an RV lot with water, electric hookup sites, plus showers and restrooms close by.
The lineup for the first ever Catbird Music Festival will be announced on Monday, March 6 at 12 p.m. ET. Those who want to be the first to know who’s playing can sign up for text or email notifications.
