A lifetime morning ritual – Cheteshwar Pujara’s heartfelt tribute to his father on Father’s Day

He won the hearts of many with a heartfelt message to his father on the special day, where he revealed how his father has been a pillar in his life.

In an emotional video as part of Dove Men+ Care’s Father’s Day campaign titled #ManEnoughToCare, the celebrated batsman shared the profound impact his father had on his life and how he learned the true essence of caring from him.

Having experienced the untimely loss of his mother during his teenage years, Cheteshwar and his father found comfort in each other’s company. A beautiful morning ritual epitomized the bond between them which carries out even now.

“At the age of 17, my life forever changed when I lost my mother. Suddenly it was my father and me, navigating the challenges of life. But since then my father faithfully carries out a daily routine, which means a lot to me,” Pujara said in the video.

Every morning, his father lovingly arranges the breakfast table, meticulously ensuring that everything, from the choice of plates to even his glass, is thoughtfully laid out to set the perfect tone for the day ahead. Pujara regarded how this simple act has shown him the true meaning of constant and unconditional care.

The video serves as a reminder that behind the formidable sportsperson, there lies a person who learnt the gentleman way from his senior man and built his character with the unconditional love and support of his father.

Pujara, who meanwhile hasn’t had a good time of late with the bat for India, may not mind seeking solace with his father and maybe the love and care can reignite his form with the bat in the coming matches.
