A new Indian restaurant, Anya’s Kitchen, opens in Orinda

You can smell the tantalizing curries all the way from the corner CVS Pharmacy.

Just weeks after welcoming neighborhood taqueria, Comelones Tacos, to downtown’s Theatre Square, the city of Orinda is now home to a second new restaurant, Anya’s Kitchen. The home-style Indian eatery from the owner of Anya’s Deli in Berkeley opened quietly in late December inside the former Reem’s Steaks at 70 Moraga Way. Hours are 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. daily.
