Media personality Abbie Chatfield has bought a Sydney apartment for $117,000 less than its original asking price – but still paying close to $2 million.
According to The Daily Telegraph the apartment’s price in December was $1,875,000, but Chatfield managed to buy it for $1,758,000.
A price not to be sneezed at, it shows the wild ride the 26-year-old has experienced over the past four years.
The social media influencer, who failed to find love on season seven of Australia’s The Bachelor, as well as 2020’s Bachelor in Paradise, is no stranger to controversy.
Chatfield, who holds a degree in property economics, become Bachelor Matt Agnews runner up in the 2019 season – and one of the nation’s most disliked reality television stars in the process.
“I was a villain, there’s no denying that,” said Chatfield.
“So I kept my nine-to-five, full-time job for six months after the show.”
Now, however, life looks quite different for the former member of the broken hearts club.
She currently has 400,000 Instagram followers, is in an open relationship, and even appeared on I’m a Celebrity…Get Me out of Here last year.
Chatfield is also currently hosting a weeknight radio show on Hit Network called ‘Hot Nights with Abbie’ – a job that is far from her roots as a white collar property analyst.
And it seems that climbing that very same property ladder is her newest project.
The two-bedroom apartment is located in an art-deco Sydney block, and contains a sunroom, lounge, bathroom, and kitchen.
It marks her second-ever property purchase, after acquiring a $1.45 million Byron Bay “romantic timber cottage” last year.
