Abbie Chatfield’s emotional plea as pet dog battles cancer

Social media personality and radio presenter Abbie Chatfield has announced that her beloved pet dog, Marco, has cancer.

“Hey besties, some sad news,” said Chatfield in an Instagram story.

“I just want to post to see if anyone’s dog had cancer and didn’t beat it, but how long if they lived more,” she asked her 396,000 social media followers.

“But he’s still happy, he doesn’t even know why we’re all sitting in bed crying,” she added.

The 26-year old influencer is a former competitor on the reality TV shows The Bachelor, Bachelor in Paradise, and I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here.

Chatfield says she wasn’t a fan favourite on The Bachelor, even though she was a runner up in the search for love on the 2019 season with astrophysicist Matt Agnew.

“I was a villain, there’s no denying that,” Chatfield said.

“So I kept my nine-to-five, full-time job for six months after the show.”

She has however gone on to host a successful radio show on Hit Network called Hot Nights with Abbie, and in May this year bought a Sydney apartment worth almost $2 million – the second high-value property purchase she’s made.

Chatfield also made headlines recently after revealing she had been diagnosed wtih attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
