What is your role in Sasural Genda Phool 2?

My role in Sasural Genda Phool 2 is that of a character named Ilesh. The thinking of this character is quite different and I like it a lot.

Do you relate to your character?

I am similar to this character in real life because a nine-to-five job never attracted me. I am an automobile engineer, but I never did anything in that line. Therefore, I find a similarity in my character.

How is it working with Ridhiema Tiwari?

She is a very good friend. I met Ridhiema around 10 years ago when Sasural Genda Phool Part 1 had started, but even at that time I never felt that I was meeting a new person. She is free and frank.

If not an actor, what would you have been and why?

If not an actor, I would have liked to become a pilot. I had quite an interest in aeronautical engineering.

You have done films and television; what difference do you find in the two mediums?

In films, the scene which we are going to do is already pre-decided. In TV such things do not happen, as the scenes change immediately. Television demands a lot of quick and short memory.

What changes have you found in the industry during the pandemic?

There have been many changes. There is a doctor sitting on the sets and everyone wears a mask. At first it seemed quite weird, but now it is normal.

Where do you see yourself five years from now?

I am really inspired by Charlie Chaplin, so five years from now, I see myself doing a film where language is not a barrier. It can be a silent film or a web series. One that people from any part of the world can see and understand because acting itself is a language.
