The first song unveiled from ‘High Drama’, ‘Mad About The Boy’ is a cover of the Noël Coward favourite. While the studio version is divine, it’s the performance Lambert did on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ that really stands out. Always at his best in a live arena, Lambert gave the song a real atmosphere and wowed audiences all over the world.
If you didn’t already know that Lambert had an incredible voice, you certainly found out by watching his remarkable cover of ‘Nessun Dorma’, which was performed on the latest Queen + Adam Lambert tour. Is there anything the man can’t sing? It doesn’t seem like it. Listen to that range, control and vibrato!!
Lambert performed this song in honour of Cher who was being celebrated at the 41st Annual Kennedy Center Honors in 2018. Transforming the 90s dance bop into a stripped-back piano track, Lambert even had Cher wiping away tears as she watched adoringly from the audience. This is how you do a cover version!
