Celtic youngster Adam Montgomery has joined Fleetwood Town on loan.
The 20-year-old, who spent most of last season at St Johnstone, joins former Parkhead captain Scott Brown who is managing the English League One side.
Montgomery played ten games in Celtic’s title winning season of 2021/22 and was an unused sub in their league final win over Hibs in December 2021.
He made 27 league appearances in the Scottish Premiership for St Johnstone as they finished ninth in the league and remains contracted to Celtic until 2025.
He has now joined up with the Fleetwood Town squad for their tour of Ireland as they prepare for the new season’s start.
The club revealed the move on Twitter with a tweet saying: “We’re delighted to announce the signing of full-back Adam Montgomery who has joined on a season-long loan deal from Celtic.”
