Adrien Broner sported a ‘Free Tank’ shirt in support of Gervonta Davis prior to his latest fight.
Broner, who has held world titles in four weight classes, took part in his first fight since February 2021 as he faced lawyer Bill Hutchinson at Casino Miami.
While Broner coasted to victory on Don King’s latest card, it was the message during his ring walk that got tongues wagging.
Making his way to the ring, Broner and his team could be seen wearing red t-shirts with ‘Free Tank’ printed across the front
Davis was sentenced on May 5 over his November 2020 hit-and-run crash which injured four people.
After pleading guilty to four traffic offences in a plea deal, Tank avoided jail time and was sentenced to 90 days of home detention, three years’ probation plus 200 hours of community service.

But less than a month later, Davis was jailed for violating the terms of his home detention order.
This came after he attempted to serve the detention order at the Four Seasons Hotel in a $3.4million penthouse, rather than trainer Calvin Ford’s one-bedroom property as was agreed with the judge.
The decision was one that Davis didn’t agree with, stating that the ‘judge is crazy’, adding: “She locked me up because basically I bought a property. I did everything in my power to listen to my lawyers.”
He continued: “I listened to everybody to a tee.
“She’s mad that I bought a property. That’s why I’m sitting in jail. She wanted me to be in an apartment, a one-bedroom apartment. And I couldn’t even take that.
“She wanted me to stay in a one-bedroom apartment. Couldn’t even have my kids or nothing come visit me and things like that. I just want to spread light on this situation because she’s taking advantage of me.”
