MJF responded by putting Danielson in a series of matches, each week since that proposal against tough opponents with the condition that the ongoing streak should be kept intact to secure the world title match opportunity.
The American Dragon reigned supreme and now the title match against The Devil is confirmed for one of the big-four AEW pay-per-view events of the year where they will go through a grueling contest to last for 60 minutes.
The match alongside the stipulation was confirmed on the latest episode of AEW Dynamite where Danielson took care of RUSH in the ongoing series of matches after previously defeating Konosuke Takeshita, Bandido, Brian Cage, and Timothy Thatcher.
MJF tried everything (including locking Bryan Danielson inside a room) before the match against RUSH took place, last night. But Danielson escaped when RUSH was busy in an interview segment with Renee Paquette.
During the match, MJF again interfered by showing up at the commentary booth. But Danielson eventually secured the pin-fall win after connecting with his pendant Busaiku Kick.
An irate MJF then proceeded to hit Danielson in the head with his prized possession, the Dynamite Diamond Ring, and then locked in The Salt of the Earth armbar, forcing the AEW officials to arrive to break the hold.

The one-hour Iron Man match was thereby announced for the 2023 AEW Revolution pay-per-view event scheduled for Sunday, March 5 at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California. This is the only match announced for the night.
MJF has been the AEW World Heavyweight Champion since defeating Jon Moxley at the AEW Full Gear PPV, last November. Afterward, he also won the Dynamite Diamond Ring for a third straight year by beating Ricky Starks at Dynamite: Winter is Coming episode in December.
In more announcements from AEW, the card for this week’s Rampage has been declared where Mark Briscoe, one of the Ring of Honor World Tag Team Champions will make an appearance for the first time since his tag partner Jay Briscoe has passed away.
The Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta, and Claudio Castagnoli) will take on the trio of Kip Sabian and The Butcher/ The Blade in a six-man tag team match. Plus, the ‘Jungle Boy’ Jack Perry will be in action as well.
