Game developer One-O-One Games and publisher META have announced that their upcoming post-apocalyptic horror game, Aftermath, is planned to be released on PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. A new trailer was released today, providing a closer look into the game’s expected chaotic world.
The game follows Charlie Gray, an astronaut and engineer who must deal with a planet gone to hell after a “reentry to earth gone wrong.” The story will follow Charlie as she navigates a broken world full of terrifying creatures and hopes to find her daughter, Sammy. Meanwhile, an “unseen adversary” watches our protagonist’s every move.
Players will have to pay attention and maintain Charlie’s mental and physical health if they are to outwit enemies. Creativity is key in defeating alien monsters by using everyday objects and learning their weak points to swiftly take them down.
Talented visual arts master, Alessandro Bavari, known for his work on Alien: Covenant and Suspiria, leads the visual design of the game – the stills and trailers released already certainly prove it. The soundtrack will be completely original, as well, and will feature artists such as UNKLE, Planet Funk, and others.
There is no word of a release date yet, however, more news is expected to arrive throughout 2022, so keep an eye out. Check out the trailer and synopsis below:
