ABU DHABI, 25th July, 2022 (WAM) — Marking the launch of its pioneering mental wellbeing initiative, Agthia Group held its annual Townhall meeting last week with employees from across the region.
Agthia’s “YOU ARE HEARD” initiative was designed based on the belief that employees’ mental wellbeing can help them cope with stress, enjoy good relationships, contribute more effectively to their community, realise their full potential, and raise the productivity bar.
With growing global emphasis on mental wellbeing, especially in the aftermath of the pandemic, and in line with the goals of UAE’s National Programme for Happiness and Wellbeing, what sets this initiative apart is its approach of offering individual sessions that employees can book directly with Leila Almaeena, a prominent wellbeing and personal development coach.
Alan Smith, Chief Executive Officer of Agthia Group, said, “If there’s anything positive to come out of the pandemic, it is that it has brought a long-awaited focus on mental wellbeing. Expecting people to continuously perform and over-achieve under tough situations puts a dent in not just their personal lives, but it also affects the growth of the organisation. I believe that empowered people empower organisations, and with this initiative, and more coming up, we will generate renewed enthusiasm and go full steam ahead with our agenda for growth for the better.”
Mubarak Al Mansoori, Chief Human Capital and Corporate Services Officer of Agthia, stated, “The UAE has an overarching vision to enrich the greater wellbeing of the nation with people being at its core as the country’s real wealth. At Agthia, we recognise the importance of our employees’ mental health and their wellbeing. Our intiative, ‘YOU ARE HEARD’, helps employees increase productivity while achieving the right work-life balance We will continuously raise awareness and educate our employees on how to get help and support in difficult times.”
Leila Almaeena, founder of Leila Almaeena Coaching and Consulting, said, “It is refreshing to see organisations such as Agthia recognise the value in this and lead the way on the wellbeing of their employees. It is the first time I’ve seen an organisation offers this level of individual-focused care to their employees.”
This commitment comes in line with the Group’s strategy pertaining to driving employee satisfaction to ensure enhanced productivity and efficiency in the workplace, improved relationships with co-workers and an overall positive outlook on work and life.
