Kajol is all set to make her web series debut with her upcoming courtroom drama The Trial. The actress is about to play a never-seen-before role of a lawyer. Kajol attended the trailer launch event along with her husband Ajay Devgn.

On Monday, June 12, the trailer of the web series dropped, creating absolute hype for the show. Kajol was accompanied by her husband Ajay Devgn to the trailer launch. During the event, the host asked whether the actress is someone who takes charge at home. He elaborated, “Kya Kajol asli zindagi me aapke ghar ke sare important decisions leti hai? (In real life is Kajol the one who takes the important decisions at home?).” The actress instantly answered, “Bilkul nahi, is sawaal ka jawaab main de deti hu (I will give you the answer, not at all).”
Ajay Devgn hops on to answer the question in a very witty manner, he said, “aapki shaadi ho gayi? is sawaal ka jawaab aap bhi de sakte hai. Jis jis ki shaadi ho gayi wo sab de sakte hai. Is sawaal ka jawab ek hi hoga, sabka unanimously ek hi jawab hoga. (Are you married? Even you can answer this question. Anyone who is married can answer this question. The answer will be the same, unanimously).”
Ajay Devgn Films has co-produced The Trial, further delving into the session. The host asked whether he faced any ‘actor problems’, Ajay hilariously replied in context to his wife, “The actor problems are already at home.” Further adding he said, “Otherwise, it is a fabulous cast, and fabulous actors so it was lovely.”
About Kajol’s upcoming web series The Trial
In the web series, Kajol is seen portraying the character of a junior lawyer, Noyonika Sen Gupta whose husband is taken into custody for a sex and corruption scandal.
Apart from Kajol the web series also stars Jisshu Sengupta, Sheeba Chadha and Kubbra Sait. The series is helmed by Suparn S Verma and will start streaming on Disney+ Hotstar on July 14, 2023.
