Akshay, Emraan recreate iconic number Main Khiladi Tu Anari in Selfiee song teaser | Bollywood Bubble

Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi are collaborating for their first film together titled Selfiee. Days after the makers released the official trailer of the film they have now unveiled the teaser of its first song. The song is a remake of Akshay Kumar’s iconic number ‘Main Khiladi Tu Anari’.

Taking to Instagram Akshay Kumar sharing the teaser of Selfiee’s first song wrote, “Munh se seeti aur ????haath se taali bajaane ko ho tayyar? Here’s a teaser of #MainKhiladi. Song drops 1st Feb!! #Selfiee in cinemas from 24th Feb”

The remake version features Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi in a dapper party look standing against a shiny and shimmery backdrop. They are seen grooving to the iconic song. The song also features actresses Nushrratt Bharuccha and Diana Penty. The full version will be released on 1st February.

For the unversed the party number is a remake of the old hit song from the 1994 film, Main Khiladi Tu Anari that originally featured Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan.

Directed by Raj Mehta, Selfiee revolves around the story of a father-son(Emraan Hashmi) duo who are the biggest fans of superstar Vijay Kumar (played by Akshay Kumar). They  want to click a selfie with him, however, end up getting into a feud with the superstar. Directed by Raj Mehta, Selfiee is the official Hindi remake of the Malayalam film Driving License. The film starred Prithviraj and Suraj Venjaramoodu in lead roles.

Akshay and Emraan will reprise their roles in the remake. It is produced by the late Aruna Bhatia, Hiroo Yash Johar, Supriya Menon, Karan Johar, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Apoorva Mehta, and Listin Stephen. The film will hit theatres on 24 February 2023.
