Budding chefs will be delighted to hear that Aldi has brought back its sell-out cast iron cookware – and it looks almost identical to luxury French brand Le Creuset.

This time, the super affordable Le Creuset dupes have been given a Valentine’s Day twist with heart-shaped casserole dishes from just £14.99.

If you’ve had your eye on the cast iron pot from Le Creuset but have been reluctant to spend nearly £200, Aldi’s cheaper version is the perfect alternative for those who are on a budget. It also makes for a great Valentine’s Gift if your other half loves to whip up tasty meals.

Last year, the budget supermarket brought out a blush pink range which sold out almost immediately and we have a feeling it won’t be long until this new range follows suit.

The latest iteration features a large heart-shaped dish in either red or white, which will be available for £19.99. There is also a set of two smaller cast iron dishes, available in the same two colourways, for £14.99.

The £19.99 dish looks just like Le Creuset £185 version

If you’re stocking up on kitchen essentials, you can also pick up a set of three casserole dishes which features a large dish and two smaller dishes for just £34.98.

Considering that Le Creuset’s round casserole dishes start from £185, this is a real bargain – so what are you waiting for?

As for what to cook in your casserole dish if you snap one up, we suggest BBC Goodfood’s beef & vegetable casserole, or Mary Berry’s rather special chicken and herb casserole to really impress your other half this Valentine’s Day.

It seems Aldi aren’t done spreading the love as they’ve also brought out a new Valentine’s collection, including a “Red Roses” candle, which is inspired by the Jo Malone favourite.

The sell-out candle is strikingly similar to Jo Malone’s Red Roses Home Candle – both featuring the scent of freshly cut roses – but costs only £9.99, compared to £40.

Aldi’s budget-version has just landed in stores and online, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
