Alec Baldwin, 65, and his wife Hilaria, 39, were both visibly exhausted as they shared a cuddle when it was announced the actor will no longer be facing criminal charges.
In a tribute to her beloved husband, Hilaria shared the intimate moment with her 1 million followers on Instagram captioned only with a simple red heart.
Fans celebrated with the entrepreneur, taking to the comments with heartwarming messages like: “Wonderful news for your family and while we mourn the losses of that day – we can only move forward.”
Alec has also spoken out since the charges were dropped, sharing a throwback snap of himself and Hilaria at a restaurant proclaiming: “I owe everything I have to this woman. (and to you Luke).”
The actor referred to his lawyer, Luke Nikas, who along with Alex Spiro released a statement yesterday saying: “We are pleased with the decision to dismiss the case against Alec Baldwin and we encourage a proper investigation into the facts and circumstances of this tragic accident.”

On Thursday, prosecutors on the case Kari Morrissey and Jason Lewis revealed in a statement they would be “dismissing the involuntary manslaughter charges” against the actor but the investigation around Halyna’s tragic death remains “active and ongoing”.
They explained “new facts” had come to light making it “impossible to proceed” with the case in the allotted time frame.
The statement, obtained by Variety, also highlighted: “This decision does not absolve Mr. Baldwin of criminal culpability and charges may be refiled.”
If convicted, the Hollywood star could have been facing up to 18 months in prison as the prosecutors accused him of negligently firing his Colt .45 gun on set at Bonanza Creek Ranch.
Ever since the incident, Alec has claimed he did not pull the trigger and did not suspect the gun might have contained a live round.
The new facts which saw the charges being dropped, at least for the time being, reportedly indicated Alec’s gun had been modified before the incident, making it more difficult to prove he had pulled the trigger.
Earlier this year it was revealed the film’s armorer, Hannah Gutierrez Reed, had also been charged with involuntary manslaughter as she was the one who loaded Alec’s weapon and the prosecutors noted that as of now these charges “remain unchanged”.
However, Hannah’s lawyers shared in a statement that they “fully expect” the 25-year-old “will also be exonerated”.
David Halls, who was in charge of safety on the set of Rust, was charged and has already accepted a plea deal which saw him sentenced to six months of unsupervised probation according to ABC News.
The shooting in October 2021 occurred while a scene was being set up during the production of Rust.
A prop gun discharged killing cinematographer and mother-of-one Halyna and injuring director Joel Souza although no charges were filed in relation to his injuries.
Rust filming has resumed this week after a 17-month break delayed all production while the incident was being investigated.
