Alex Jones shares adorable moment as she preps for daughter’s first Christmas

Alex Jones has shared a glimpse into her festive home life as she gets ready to celebrate her first Christmas with daughter Annie.

The mum-of-three, 44, gave birth to baby Annie in August and she uploaded a sweet selfie from family life to Instagram over the weekend.

The snap showed the TV presenter standing in front of a mirror while holding the tot close and kissing her. A cosy fire was also burning away while the mantelpiece had elegant Christmas decorations on show.

Her Christmas tree could be seen in the background with its twinkling lights providing a lovely glow.

The star shared the shot to her Instagram Stories for her 326,000 fans to see.

She captioned the image: “Fire is lit and the girls are happy.”

Alex and husband Charlie Thomson also share sons Edward, whose nickname is Teddy, and Kit.

Last month Alex told her social media followers exactly what it was her oldest child was hoping for this holiday time.

The One Show host posted a pic of his list for Santa, which included lots of LEGO, in particular those themed around Paw Patrol.

She wrote:” Ted’s been writing his Christmas list,” and included a broken heart emoji.

The presenter regularly shares posts surrounding her family life, but keeps her kids’ faces hidden.

Earlier this month she shared a sweet snap of her son’s first nativity and revealed her she cried. She covered her son’s face with a blue heart emoji as he posed in his shepherd’s costume.

She made a surprise return to hosting duties on The One Show last week after under five months off on maternity leave.

Fans were thrilled to discover she was set to grace their screens again alongside Jermaine Jenas and Ronan Keating in what was the show’s last episode before the Christmas break.

Alex has only appeared a few times on the BBC show since going on maternity leave. In September, she made a brief return for a very “special” reason.

Speaking on the show at the time, she said it was good to be back as she added: “Ah, it is so nice to be back. You know what, we have been great. The boys are taking to little Annie brilliantly. Annie is here with mum and dad.”

“I’ve literally, honestly… she has just gone back to mum. I had to feed her. She’s out there.”
