The midfielder has joined the Merseyside club from Brighton after having a stellar season with the Seagulls, where he helped them to qualify for Europe for the first time in history.
Mac Allister, part of Argentina’s World Cup-winning team last year, has signed a five-year deal at the club which will keep him at Anfield till the end of 2027-28 season.
“I wanted to be in (from) the first day of preseason, so it’s good that everything is done. I’m looking forward to meeting my teammates,” Mac Allister continued saying it was a dream come true moment for him.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp needs to strengthen in midfield after the club confirmed James Milner, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are departing this offseason. The Reds had a disappointing last season, where they failed to qualify for the Champions League for the first time in seven years.
It was a great moment for the Argentine as he lifted the World Cup with his country just six months ago. And he insists the intent to win more trophies with the Reds.
“Since I won the World Cup, I said that I want to win more trophies,” the midfielder told LFCTV.
“I think this club will help me to do that. That’s the aim, and when you are at a big club like this one, you have to win trophies. That’s what I want,” Mac Allister added.

The player is set to wear the no. 10 shirt at his new club. The Reds will kickstart their pre-season campaign soon and they are expected to play Leicester City, Bayern Munich ahead of the new season.
