Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani released in theatres on July 28. The Karan Johar directorial is a complete family entertainer that celebrates love while also giving a social message. The film has been receiving positive response from the audience as well as industry experts. Going by the Day 1 collection, the film has registered the sixth-best opening for a Bollywood film (in Hindi) this year after Pathaan, Adipurush, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan and Bholaa.

As per Box-office India reports, the film has collected a whooping amount of Rs 11.10 crores on Day 1. Trade reports now indicate that on its second day, the film has seen a 20% growth over morning and afternoon shows. With positive word of mouth coming into play, the flick has all the potential to witness more growth in the evening and night shows. Going by the current trends, the movie stands to earn between Rs. 14-15 cr on its second day running. The film will mostly get a huge 50% boost.

Apart from Alia and Ranveer, the movie also boasts a stellar cast of veteran actors. This includes Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi and Shabana Azmi. In addition, the film also stars Tota Roy Chowdhury, Churni Ganguly in supporting roles. The story of the film is penned by Ishita Moitra, Shashank Khaitan, and Sumit Roy. While its music has been composed by Madan Mohan and Pritam.
