Alicia Keys Stuns With A Private Concert At Kellogg Doolittle House In Joshua Tree

When Alicia Keys performed for a private group of her close friends and VIPs at the famed Kellogg Doolitte House in Joshua Tree on Tuesday, husband Swizz Beats showed up just in time to hear her iconic acoustic rendition of ‘Empire State of Mind.’

The intimate concert was held as the unveiling event of Keys’ new campaign with Hennessy Paradis (the ultra-luxury segment of Hennessy), where she serves as the first ever face of the brand. Swizz may have almost missed the performance, but he made sure to support his wife’s new endeavor as he posed in front of the larger-than-life Hennessy Paradis photocall, lit up with a backdrop of the setting sun.

Appropriately named “Paradis(e) is on Earth,” the visionary and otherworldly destination brought this unprecedented partnership to life. With notables such as Elizabeth Olsen, Gabrielle Union, Adam DiMarco, Alton Mason, Moses Sumney, and Troye Sivan in attendance, the evening continued with an elegant dinner inside the avant-garde Kellogg-designed House.

While in Joshua Tree, attendees were welcomed to explore the sought-after national park, watch the sunset from the Coachella Valley, head into the town of quaint shops, or perhaps even rent a stay at the Instagram famous Invisible House (which Alicia Keys herself has stayed at in the past).

The night finished back in Palm Springs at the Mid Century L’Horizon Resort’s Hermann Bungalows, that Hennessy Paradis took over for the experience. Paradis cocktails were served in the desert hideaway, for a luxurious night cap amidst the hotel’s unobstructed mountain views.

What is considered the space’s art studio was transformed into a dining room with contemporary glass tables fit around the house’s unique curvature. After a 3-course meal by James-Beard semi-finalist Jesse Shenker, guests raised toasts alongside top Hennessy executives, including CEO Laurent Boillot and SVP Jasmin Allen.

The event follows last week’s debut of the global campaign that was shot in another stunning desert location, Utah’s Paradise canyon, alongside legendary pianist Lang Lang.

From opposite ends of the planet, Alica Keys and Lang Lang express a shared passion that links them together in what they both consider paradise. Alicia’s partnership with Paradis marks a new feminine and sublime chapter for Hennessy’s “crown jewel of cognac,” that draws on the Maison’s original inspirations from nature and music, in pursuit of bliss. In honor of this sense of paradise, Keys even penned an original poem, which she raved about during her performance. She found “Paradis(e) on Earth”, she exclaims.
