Alkaline Trio, Bayside, Hawthorne Heights top Is For Lovers Festival lineup

Rock band Hawthorne Heights has revealed the lineup for the California stop on its Is For Lovers Festival Tour.

The single-day event will take place on Saturday, Aug. 26 at Oak Canyon Park in Silverado and feature sets by Hawthorne Heights, Alkaline Trio, Sleeping With Sirens, Bayside, Emery, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Atreyu, Thursday, Touché Amoré and others that will be announced in the coming months.

“It’s easy to choose Orange County, California as one of our favorite places in the entire world,” Hawthorne Heights JT Woodruff said in a press release. “The OC epitomizes California culture for us that live in the Midwest. Some of the best fans of any genre flock from all over the world to what seems like another dimension just to experience a punk/emo/hardcore show in Orange County and that’s exactly why it’s for lovers. The weather, the people, the culture and the topography are what our festival is all about. We are trying to take your favorite memories of your favorite bands in our favorite locations and create a world that you never want to leave.”

General admission tickets start at $79 at isforloversfestival.com/California. VIP packages are $225-$350 and include dedicated entry, premium viewing areas, bars and restrooms as well as special merchandise and meet and greet options.

This festival series consists of eight dates across the country and it’s worth noting that in the initial announcement, the poster for the California stop has a top tier act blacked out. Big-name artists performing on other dates include Jimmy Eat World, Saosin, Underoath, Thrice, The Story So Far and Mayday Parade.
